Water Filter Round-up

Water purifiers for home use and post SHTF purposes have always felt, well, a little gimmicky. Trying them out can also be a rather costly endeavor.

I’m happy with the results from this guys water filter test. Especially since I bought a “Big Berkey” filter last October. I picked up an otherwise new, scratch and dent unit for $200.

Prepping was only part of the reason for the purchase. I use it everyday instead of bottled water or my previous use of a Britta filter pitcher. The water tastes much better out of the Berkey, in the long run it is by far the cheapest per gallon setup, and since it is a true “purifier”, not just a filter, I can run river water through it if the SHTF.
