I’m often asked this question,”What’s your favorite book on survival?” There isn’t one singular book.

But there are a collection of survival books I love. And I’ll share each of them with you here.

Note: If you’re new to ITRH, this is a summer short episode. As the name suggests, summer shorts are short episodes intended to tide you over till the full seasons starts back up in the fall. They come out about every two weeks.

Best Survival Books Discussed:

  1. Emergency: This Book Will Save Your Life by Neil Strauss
  2. Survival Guns by Mel Tappan
  3. The Art of Eating through the Zombie Apocalypse: A Cookbook and Culinary Survival Guide by Lauren Wilson
  4. Bushcraft: Outdoor Skills and Wilderness Survival by Mors Kochanski
  5. On Killing: The Psychological Cost of Learning to Kill in War and Society by Dave Grossman
  6. On Combat: The Psychology and Physiology of Deadly Conflict in War and in Peace by Dave Grossman
  7. Alas Babylon by Pat Frank

In his free time, he enjoys hogging the remote, surfing, scotch, mental masturbation and debate over philosophical topics, and shooting stuff--usually not all at the same time.
