E90: Surviving The Zombie Apocalypse

Hosts Aaron and Jason wrap up part III of Surviving X with Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse.

Zombies fiction has become a huge part of the survival community. They are an unpredictable, terrifying, and exceptionally difficult enemy to combat. And this makes them the perfect survival mental exercise.

It’s no wonder why they’re so popular.

And in this episode we cover our ideas for surviving a Zombie outbreak. (After we catch Jason up to speed on what Zombies are, since he’s a “real survivalist”).

Perfect Zombie Weapon I thought of while listening to your podcast. Giant Fly Paper. No blood, no brain matter. They walk on it or into it and get stuck. Clear plastic, sticks to them like cling film. If it were thick craft paper and tar, you could then roll them up, push or drag them into a big hole and burn it. Perfect.

I don’t have one, but always thought they would be a great motorcycle to have, the Ural motorcycle. Think the Russians stole some German side car motorcycles during WWII and started making their own version. Not super expensive and look like they can go anywhere, plus you can carry more gear with the side car. Though I’d hate to be exposed with all those zombie arms swing at you. Though it doesn’t seem to bother Daryl from The Walking Dead. 🙂

There ARE various monster mythologies for werewolves and vampires. Evil vampires, misunderstood vampires, animal-like werewolves, human-like werewolves… don’t even get me started with ghosts.

AND, AND… you are describing “The Walking Dead” universe. By far, zombie mythology says they are slow, beastial, and their bite is contagious. The virus infest, kills (if being consumed doesnt kill tou) and reanimates. However the MOST traditional zombie mythology says that zombies are a creation of a voodoo priest.
I mean, you know, I’m not into zombies or anything… thats what I heard.

And… if we didn’t go with the current mainstream Zombie Jason and I wouldn’t have a shtick to argue about 😉
