In The Rabbit Hole believes strongly in treating our readers and listeners the way we would want to be treated.
We promise not to share user information or emails addresses, EVER.
We promise not to fill your inbox with useless crap, EVER.
We promise to provide an easy and convenient method for unsubscribing from all communications, ALWAYS!
If you feel we have sent useless emails to your inbox, please let us know right away. We will carefully evaluate what we have sent you and make a note of needed changes.
Our emails deliver information to keep listeners, readers, and viewers informed of news and offers relating to In The Rabbit Hole. Our emails are provided by request for inclusion from the user. (i.e. You ask for inclusion by requesting information from us.)
All requests to unsubscribe are handled through our Email Service Provider. And every email we send does and is required to, contain an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. This link provides you with a self-service way of opting out. Additionally, we do not use a jump-through-a-bunch-of-asshat-hoops; it’s one page one button for subscribers to opt out. We also honor replies to emails requesting to be removed; though it’s faster if you do it yourself.
Once a year, In The Rabbit Hole conducts an email list purge. Any contact in our system who has not opened an email for 12 months or more is deleted from our system. Occasionally, an email may be sent to these low/no activating contacts informing them of their impending deletion and offering an opportunity to say subscribed.
Collection of Personal Information
When visiting our website, the IP address used to access the site will be logged along with the dates and times of access. This information is purely used to analyze trends, administer the site, track users movement and gather demographic information for internal use.
Storage of Personal Information
Any personal information collected by In The Rabbit Hole is stored with third party service providers (e.g. Google Analytics, Gmail, ActiveCampaign, MailChimp). We review their standards twice a year and ensure all third-party service providers comply with the latest data security and protection standards and applicable laws.
On rare occasions, we take possession of data as a Data Controler and Processor. This is only ever done by the Editor in Chief for a specific administrative task (e.g. Email Service Provider migration, CRM migration, etc).
While operating as the Data Controler and or Processor on our local systems, the computers, drives, and network are kept secure. When the administrative task is completed, the data is deleted from all local machines and drives. In cases of migrations, the data is deleted from the system we are migrating from before the account is closed.
Yes. We use them. Some are for data collection mentioned above and others are used for enhancing our website visitor experience (i.e. Google Analytics, ActiveCampaign, WooCommerce, Amazon Partner Program, QuantCast).

Please consider any link on our site to be an affiliate link. We may gain some financial compensation when you both click a link and make a purchase from the link owner. We will do our best to never send you to a place selling junk. (If we do, let us know ASAP!)
